Privacy Policy

This page explains what information the iPhone game Neighbor Wars (隣人戦争, "the App") sends, where it goes and how it is used. The App is made by an individual developer in Japan ("we"). If this English version and the Japanese version differ, the Japanese version prevails.

In short
  • No ads. No tracking for advertising.
  • We have not added any analytics tools of our own.
  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, address, location, contacts or photos.
  • For online play and cloud saves, we send an in-game ID and game data to Epic Games and to our own server.
  • You can delete your data at any time in Settings (せってい) → Delete data (データを けす) inside the App.

Online play and IP addresses

In-match traffic is always routed through EOS relay servers, so your opponent cannot see your IP address. Because of how the internet works, your IP address does reach Epic and Cloudflare. Our server may use IP addresses briefly in memory to limit excessive requests, but does not store them.

Technical data collected by EOS

The EOS SDK may send technical information such as connection quality and service usage to Epic to operate and improve its services. This is handled under the Epic Games Privacy Policy.

What other players can see

Your display name, rank, title and other game information are shown to your online opponents. If you reach the top of the leaderboard, your display name and rank are shown to other players.

6. Children's privacy

The App is designed with children in mind. It never asks for personal information such as a name, email address or home address, and it has no free-text chat. Display names are chosen from prepared words.

Parents and guardians can delete a child's data in Settings (せってい) → Delete data (データを けす), or contact us by email with questions or deletion requests.

Online play can be restricted with Screen Time on iPhone.

If we change this policy we will update this page and its date. For major changes (for example when in-app purchases are introduced) we will also let you know in the App.
